Past Scholarship Winners and Honorees

2025 Recipients

In April of 2025, due to the illness and later death of Sarah Edwards, the daughter of Billy and Cassie Edwards, there was no banquet held. However, a fundraiser was held and scholarships were awarded to the following recipients: 

  1. Kaden Mitchell - $1,000, daughter of Laura & Rick Mitchell

  2. Lainey Tatum - $750, daughter of Hannah Tatum

  3. Laney Bankston - $500, daughter of Jennifer Bankston

  4. Ella Sant - $250, Jeff & Sarah Sant

  5. Rachel Davidson - $250, daughter of Amie Davidson

  6. Ryleigh Bell - $250, daughter of Monica Bell

  7. Ashley Pace - $250, daughter of Melinda Pace

2024 Recipients

On April 13, 2024, the Cassie Edwards Scholarship Program honored Vanessa Berry Abron for 33 years in education and teaching. One scholarship recipient, Madelynn Bailey, received $2,000, daughter of Joel & Mylissa Bailey.

2023 Recipients

The Cassie Edwards Scholarship Program honored Silvesta Alexander for 53 years in education on April 16, 2023. Our four scholarship recipients were as follows: 

  1. Keziah Sims - $4,600, daughter of Vincent & Felicia Sims

  2. TaMiyah Rose - $1,750, daughter of Tamra Kelley, & grand-daughter of late Mark & Rowena Johnson

  3. Jayla Abron - $950, daughter of Brian & Talea Kelly

  4. Tia Nash - $350, daughter of Elvira Dial and Damon Nash
